VegFest Oahu 2019

VegFest Oahu is a celebration of island-style plant-based, sustainable living. The free festival brings together more than 50 booths offering education, food, and entertainment. Activities include: plant-based cooking demos by expert chefs; speakers on health and environmental topics; a mouthwatering variety of vegan vendors offering ethnic dishes, local favorites, and comfort foods; yoga and dance classes; lots of free product sampling; and continuous live music.

The food booths at the VegFest Oahu event included mochiko chik’n bowl, kakiage tempura, “not pork” kim chee manapua, cauliflower shawarma wrap, jackfruit tacos, falafel waffle, watermelon & veg feta salad, stuffed croissants with ham & cheese, local moco, mushroom tamales, roasted vegetable focaccia, fried mock chicken sandwich, kalo brownies, ‘ulu cinnamon rolls, ice cream sandwiches, macnut soft serve, local brew kombucha, guava cupcakes, fried donuts, and much more.

VegFest Oahu is organized by an all-volunteer core team of island leaders, including entrepreneurs, business owners, and activists in the environmental and plant based movements. We believe that VegFest Oahu will strengthen the local, plant-based community and be the tipping point towards more sustainable island perspectives.
