79th Annual Nā Hula Festival

Since 1940, Honolulu Department of Parks and Recreation has celebrated the artistry and grace of Hawaii’s premiere dance form – Hula. The Na Hula Festival is Hawaii’s longest annual non-competitive hula event, and the 79th Annual Na Hula Festival took place on August 4 at the Kapiolani Park Bandstand in Honolulu.

Performers and halau at the August 4 event featured Hālau Hula o Pua ‘A‘ala Hone, Hālau Hula o Nāwahine, Puanani Alama Hula Studio, Lei Queen and Court, Nā Kūpuna o Ko‘olau, and Hula Hui o Kapunahala.
